A username on its own cannot be recovered. If you forget the password there is no reset link to send you, and nobody here can let you back in. An email address is the only way back — and since the Yumee apps now need this account to open at all, losing it means losing them too.
At least 8 characters. That is the whole rule — no capitals, no symbols, no expiry. A long one you can remember beats a short one you have to write down.
